I have a paid Fusion 360 license. A friend has a hobbyist license. Today, we sat down and spent a couple hours doing work on a hobby project. I hit the "Save" and quit 360. Turns out it didn't save. Turns out it couldn't save. Hobbyist license no longer allow collaboration.Permalink On twitter.com

They also don't prompt you to tell you that your changes can't and won't be saved. They just silently discard them.On twitter.com

I actually like this project and would love to use it for hobby projects with friends. The licensing change seems remarkably short-sighted. The UX borders on negligent. Don’t let me do work you won’t let me save. A “Basic Mode” pill in the corner of the screen is not enough.Permalink On twitter.com
