    1. How the heck do I turn off iCloud Drive for my Desktop and Documents folders without having files -removed- from those folders locally?

    I don't mind my data being in iCloud. I mind little bits of my git repos getting offloaded to the cloud in ways that break unix-side tools. Turns out that what I really wanted was to turn this off:
