Did you know that macOS includes a screen sharing app that can tunnel to any other Mac signed into iCloud if you know the Apple ID and the person on the other end is willing to click “Accept”? It includes automatic voice chat and isn’t troubled by NAT.

In the past couple of days, I have used this feature to buy a computer and to triage a parent’s 12 year old MacBook that’s running slowly.

Just hit command-space and then type “screen sharing” I’m told that it is also available in the “Buddies” menu in Messages.
