  1. What is the smallest package microcontroller I can get that can act as a native USB device? USB 2.0 low-speed is absolutely fine. An internal oscillator would be a dream.

      So far, the best I've found with a native USB stack is an ATxmega16A4U with a 5mmx5mmx1mm VFBGA49 package.
