      @kejadlen @yohewi The Keyboardio Atreus, shipping as an assembled keyboard, is going to have Kailh Sockets soldered onto the board. If, say, I were doing PCB kits, I would totally use a footprint that supported either multiple through-hole footprints or multiple socket styles.

    @kejadlen @yohewi (I have slightly different opinions of the right way to do this. But they're just that, opinions.)

      @kejadlen @yohewi My in-house MX footprint supports sockets or hand-soldered through-hole switches by plating the socket's through-holes. this has the added advantage of adding mechanical reinforcement to the SMD pads for the sockets.
