    @simonw If you can get your mobile browser to serve up a different User Agent string like ' Mozilla/5.0 (Series40; Nokia205.1/04.51; Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1) Gecko/20100401 S40OviBrowser/3.9.0.0.22', Google will serve up a VERY streamlined UI with almost no javascript.

      @simonw or. if you’re feeling really brutal, disable js in safari. Google loads much faster. Of course the rest of the web is broken.

      @simonw oh. if you haven’t done it yet, set your safari content blocker to block all web fonts. if you’re not using a content blocker yet, Firefox Focus
